A person who has come to mean a lot for me and my work with
masks is the wood sculptor Per Nilsson Öst, a recident of Gävle and Järvsö.
Per frequently advises me in the art of wood carving.
Per was born 1918 in Järvsö in central Sweden.
He graduated from the Swedish federal school of arts,
craft and design and went on to study under the famous
Swedish sculptor Carl Eldh.
Since long ago he has made a career of his own,
and his pieces of art have been widely exhibited in Sweden as well as abroad.
